The single-cylinder hydraulic cone crusher has good performance, and each module has achieved maximum optimization. However, no matter how good the machine equipment is, if it is not used properly, its production efficiency can only be partially exerted. In production, the following aspects should be paid attention to:
 
Maintain "full cavity" operation during production. "Full cavity" operation is an aspect that is easily overlooked. If a cone crusher is sometimes "hungry" and sometimes "full" due to factors such as unstable feeding, then its product particle shape and product rate will also fluctuate up and down. When half-cavity operation, the product is not ideal in terms of grading, needle-like shape, etc. Feeding only a small amount of raw material will not reduce the burden of the cone crusher. On the contrary, too little raw material will not only reduce the product output and poor particle shape, but also have an adverse effect on the bearings of the cone crusher.
 
The feed drop point needs to be aligned with the center point of the cone crusher feed port. It is best to use a vertical guide plate to guide the feed drop point to the center of the cone crusher feed port. Once the drop point is offset, one side of the crushing chamber is full of material while the other side is empty or less, which will cause the throughput of the crusher to continue to decrease, the number of needle-like products will increase, and the product particle size will be too large.
 
Keep the discharge port parameters unchanged. To stabilize the output, quality and production line load of sand and gravel products, the first thing to ensure is that the discharge port parameters of the cone crusher remain unchanged, otherwise it is very easy to increase the product particle size, which will affect the entire production line system and the final output.
 
The feeding height should not be too high. Especially for small and medium-sized cone crushers, the maximum suitable height for the material to fall from the feeding equipment to the feeding port is about 0.9 meters. If the feeding height is too large, the stone is easy to fall into the crushing chamber at high speed, causing impact loads on the crusher, and the crushing force or power exceeds the design upper limit. It will cause excessive pressure or tension on the crusher components, resulting in additional maintenance costs and low output.
 
Cone crusher is a powerful tool for crushing hard and abrasive materials. Generally speaking, the investment cost of cone crusher is relatively high. If used properly, the operating cost of cone crusher will be lower than that of traditional impact crusher. More attention should be paid to the above aspects in production to give full play to the powerful production capacity of the cone crusher and reduce the operation and maintenance costs.
